Every year so many animals are lost on the 4th of July.  Many are hit and killed by cars.  Many are injured.  This also includes wildlife. They try to escape the debilitating “Booms” the current fireworks make.  There is a solution to stop so much trauma and devastation to animals and people with PTSD.         
THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE!  SILENT FIREWORKS

Have you ever watched an animal be so terrified that they literally go out of their minds trying to find a way to feel safe?  They run, hide, & panic.  It can cause an animal to have a heart attacK.  It can cause seizures. They become disoriented and run fast to get away and next thing you know your dog or cat has been hit by a car and killed or seriously injured.  All for what?  They are family.  THEY DESERVE BETTER!

There is a small town in Italy that started using silent fireworks a few years ago out of respect for the animals.  I say let’s be like Italy!  Could you imagine being able to watch fireworks with little sound, but still enjoying the amazing light show.  BUT your pets and people with PTSD no longer hear the explosive boom. They no longer have to be completely traumatized.  

This is personal to me because my dog Murphy had terrible seizures and anxiety.  The fireworks devastated him.  Having the TV blaring, the AC on, medication given and it still wasn’t enough to hide that loud BOOM!  To watch your animals panic in fear and feeling helpless to stop it is awful!  To see a war vet curl up into a ball with every BOOM is not ok! 

I propose that we give silent fireworks a try next year in “2022”.  I want to initiate the change we wish to see to protect our animals.  Many of us want silent fireworks here in Nevada for next years firework extravaganza.  Let us be the change in every state and town!  This can trigger a world wide change to protect domestic and wildlife animals!
