I will do my best to sum this up quickly. My wife Marcella Wideman and myself Charles Morgan were informed August 20, 2019 that CPS had taken our grandchildren from their parents reason being abuse and neglect. It took my wife and I no time to come to the conclusion that we were taking in our grandchildren. About a week later we were given the eldest child (Chanses) and the youngest (Cash), being advised that the other two would have to go to special care for "failure to thrive that would be Ceriah and Mesiah Campbell. 

CPS worker Lisa Berry, would be very condescending and would seem to get enjoyment making my wife uneasy. My wife had adjusted to taking care of 4 small children, her baby is now 21 years of age, so getting acclimated to taking care of not only the grandchildren but my daughter as well, was a job I commend her on. We asked the worker for her input on discipline because we can't spank the grandchildren and the eldest was beginning to exhibit bad behavior. She answers the question with a question, which we know isn't helpful. 

To sum this up, they took our grandkids on false allegations that my wife was spanking Chanses and Mesaih, they also are trying to say we allowed the parents to have unsupervised visits which is totally false. They asked Chanses who six years old and has some behavioral problems, but never asked us a word in regards to allegations made towards us. March 4, 2020 was a Wednesday, we go to Bible study every Wednesday; this time Deborah Richardson (21) was watching the children for her mother and I, so we wouldn't have to travel with four small children and she could get them fed and down for bed.

After Bible study we came home, at this time it's well after eight at night, might I add Lisa Berry was in my home from 5:00pm to at least 6:20pm, for her monthly visit with the children and questioning of Chanses; which takes place in a closed room with no family present. If the kids safety and state of mind is in your best interest, why would you come after you were here already and supposedly had these so called allegations before the end of your in home meeting? They came to my house with numerous police officers, woke the children out of their sleep, took them out in the cold, then dropped them off at a group home. Now what is more traumatizing to those children? 

Please hear our cry for help, I know CPS can do good. I've seen it work the way I bet the founders thought it should work. Get children out of dangerous and abusive situations where they can grow and flourish, that process worked for me, that's how I obtained full custody of my daughter when her mom couldn't get it together. I got my daughter from the same place they sent my grandchildren, that is how I know what is missing and wrong in that environment. I was also an abused child and went through the system for a short time in my life. They were and still are trying to cover their butts because CPS got in trouble and was in the news on this particular case because the parents were under CPS supervision for a few years before the abuse was reported and the kids were taken. Which means they weren't doing their jobs properly if the kids got abused while you guys were monitoring the parents.

Please sign this petition to return the kids to loving family members that they are familiar with. I know it is possible to find someone who would love those children, but no one will love them like family would. We disrupted our entire family dynamic, we now have all this kids stuff and no kids, I went and bought my wife a van to get them all around because all we needed was the Nissan Maximas that fit our household of four. My daughter (Dy'Amon) who got use to having other children around has been traumatized crying frequently how she wants Chanses. Also, my daughter's room was converted into a room for the three smallest children, our oldest daughter here Deborah compromised and agreed to share her room with Chanses and Dy'Amon.

So you see, after going through all that I believe we deserve at least a chance to address these allegations. Especially since this whole thing started CPS has been less than forthcoming with us, they also are lying on my wife which I see as a defamation of character; I will notify my lawyers to look into that. CPS practices in this particular case are more than disturbing when you have been nothing but forthcoming with them for it to bite you in the proverbial butt. The thing that bothers me the most is if you look in depth the truth is all their, but instead of accepting the truth they would rather tell lies in court documents.

Please help us get our four grandchildren back so we can keep the kids together most importantly, but our family as a whole.
