Recently Behavior has addressed the Steagull, but it isn't what the community asked for.
The community only gotten a ''Increased Frequency'' on the old screams occurring aka ''Easter Egg'' not a full revert or a toggle.

Steagull was not just a meme, it was something that brought joy and spread whimsy in the terrifying world of Dead by Daylight and I am truly heartbroken that such a beloved community feature has been taken away from us with no prior warning.

I think we all appreciate the fact that BHVR went and improved the voice lines of past characters and gave them tons of new interactions, but maybe the iconic scream should have been left untouched so it could keep touching the hearts of players and stranger things fans alike for the rest of time.

Please consider restoring the original scream or providing an optional legacy / toggleable audio option, and not as a Easter Egg. Preserving iconic elements like this doesn’t hold the game back, it preserves the culture that formed around it.
