We the residents of the Vistas at Eastgate subdivision in Layton, Utah are signing this petition to request from the responsible parties (either one individual party, or any combination of the following parties; Richmond American Homes, Century Communities, Regency Excavation and Olympus investment, and Layton City) that the drainage issues caused by routine summer watering, rain, and run off from snow melt, be mitigated through the installation of outdoor drains, or whatever other means are necessary to prevent further issues. The excessive amount of water has caused damage to multiple properties and has the potential to cause more damage in the future to the properties currently impacted, as well as other properties in the neighborhood. This damage is not only an undue financial burden, but also impacts the safety of the homes and the land they sit on. Below residents will share their account of the negative impact the extreme amount of water has had on their families. Other residents may not currently be impacted, but are signing to request proper drainage be installed to eliminate future problems. This petition also acts as a warning that legal action is being pursued unless a resolution can be reached.
