Last week, I attended the Meet and Greet event for Gary Singh to give him a copy of all the signatures and comments that people have left for this petition. In the middle of talking with Gary, he mentioned that the mayor was actually there at the event. So I was able to actually deliver the petition to the mayor, and had a good 15 minute conversation with him about our goals and what we are trying to accomplish. Mayor Steve DeBrum stated that he was going to talk to the Chief of Police for Manteca on Monday. I will be following up with Steve on Tuesday to see if there was any progress.
