Last week, the province approved a project dubbed "project Lonestar" in Pickering Ontario, just south of the 401 that will destroy a 22-hectare wetland that is significant to Ontario. The project is moving at an alarming rate, and a ministers zoning order has been issued that will prevent public hearing and eliminate any environmental assessments. This will destroy a wetland very valuable to our province and kill a lot of the life that inhabits it during the process. Stop the Ford government from putting "breaking the red tape" above the health of our environment.
