Does the government's new Future Fund help you?

We're not sure it's going to help that many companies...

As you may know from our last update, the Government last week announced a new 'Future Fund' to help small businesses in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, but we are not sure that many will (a) qualify for the fund or (b) find the terms palatable.

Could you please let us know whether the Future Fund will be able to help you?

We have partnered with the team at seedlegals who are administering a short survey that you can take here.

The main conditions to be eligible for the Future Fund so far include:

  • The business must be based in the UK and have a substantive economic presence in the UK;
  • The business is able to attract the equivalent matched funding (expected to be as Convertible Loan Notes) from third party private investors & institutions;
  • The business has raised at least £250,000 from private third party investors in the last five years.

In the meantime, we will continue to lobby on behalf of all small business owners for the Government to introduce measures that will rapidly promote private investment. Your response to the above survey will help reinforce the need for this.

Thank you again - for your time and help and for your continued support for this campaign.
