This is one of the most important TI Community Model For Success action plans and provides an easy way for our community members to make a valuable contribution to our
cause. Please continue reading.
WHEN SHOULD YOU CONDUCT A SURVEY?
When you want somebody's story, you ask for it. Right?
What if you want to know the story of an entire community or an entire population?
You use a survey. A survey is a way of collecting information that should represent the story of the whole community or group in which you are interested. Surveys collect information in as uniform a manner as possible -- asking each respondent the same questions in the same way so as to insure that the answers are most influenced by the respondents' experiences.
A SURVEY MAY BE YOUR BEST CHOICE WHEN:
You need a quick and efficient way of getting information
You need to reach a large number of people
You need statistically valid information about a large number of people
The information you need isn't readily available through other means
HOW WILL SURVEYS HELP OUR TI COMMUNITY BE MORE SUCCESSFUL?
Like other successful communities, it is vital that we perform a full community assessment using all available methods. A lot of this information is already shared by TIs in social media posts, interviews, podcasts, videos, etc., which is all very valuable. Unfortunately, the format that this information is contained in does not lend itself well to data analysis and BI.
We propose sharing a series of surveys that will capture data in a uniform and structured way about TI's lives prior to and after being targeted. This will allow us to more easily analyze the information and look for patterns and insights that we can share with those who are interested in examining us as a distinct population. This will make it easier for us to enlist the help of those that can help us.
Note: Almost all questions will be optionable and the results will be openly shared with the TI Community.

Let's tell our TI Community's STORY using the power of DATA and ANALYTICS!
More information will be released in the near future and the first survey of the series should be released no later than January. Volunteers are needed to spread awareness about this campaign as well as reviewing drafts of the surveys.
