The freelancing platform "upwork" (formerly odesk and elance) have changed their pricing plan from a flat 10% fee on all projects to a 20% fee for new client work that is under $500.

This effectively doubles the fees associated with upwork for all freelancers who work for many clients, those who offer one-shot services and many others.

I for one, as a freelance music composer who does not often work for the same client twice can no longer afford to find my clients through upwork if this price change is not  reverted. 

The solution is simple, revert the change and prove to the freelancing community that you do have their interests in mind over your own bottom line. 

Charge a flat 10% across all projects and many freelancers and clients will continue to give you business.
