Steam Physical Copies

The Issue

I love Steam; it's the best gaming platform for video games with affordable discounts. I know we are heading into a digital era, and I have bought digital games before; there's nothing wrong with buying digital games. However, I wish there were a choice for physical copies delivered to your door, like Indie Games and Adult games. I don’t want physical media to die as a collector; I like to have options, and without options, choosing between physical and digital feels restricted. I don’t know how many indie games and adult games are physical copies, but I know adult games aren’t on Xbox and PlayStation. It would be neat to buy a physical copy of Ravager for the PC I would love to see an art of a dragon in front of the case. This feature should be an option when people publish their games, and I am expecting AI SLOP CASES TO POP UP. That’s the market you have to look for what you want in physical or digital. You need to create an account to buy mature and adult games; it will be the same as delivering them physically.

Why can’t we have both physical and digital? I know why large corporations want you to own nothing and be happy. They want you to buy their games, so they take that away, and I have to admit, when a game is taken down on Steam, Valve makes sure that game is in your library. That’s why I respect Valve, and I know the card companies are giving them a hard time, and I don’t blame them. When this is over, I hope Valve will think about this concept, bring back physical media, and then later on will create a gaming pc with a disk drive with sacrificing room and quality.

The reason we should make this petition come to life because this provides freedom to sell on the platform for video games we are done playing, and still have the digital copy, while giving more options to buy more games in the future. This brings choices to the table to buy what media we prefer and brings us closer as gamers. We can have digital media with physical media; let’s make people feel like they have a choice again.

Owning a physical copy of a video game provides genuine ownership, allowing you to resell, trade, or lend it to others, unlike digital purchases, which are often non-transferable. Physical copies also don't add to your device's hard drive space and offer immediate access to play the game without a lengthy download time. Additionally, physical games often include bonus materials and can serve as collectible items for a collection, providing a tangible experience and lasting access to the game.

The developers can choose to create a physical copy, a digital copy, or both. It’s up to him; he or she has the right to publish the video game how they want. It would be neat to see used video games on sale, and there are lower discounts, and third-party and publishers could be the ones to do the factory, then Steam does the shipping. I wouldn’t mind paying extra to speed up my shipping like Amazon does, or a membership, because I know Steam is a good platform, and it will have a decent price for membership and shipping.
This brings physical copies to Steam.
