Status Coup has done some great investigative journalism, such as:

• Covering the Flint, Michigan water crisis long after the mainstream media stopped caring about it.
• Covering the East Palestine, Ohio train wreak mass toxic disaster.
• Covering protests against the Palestinian genocide.

I am a monthly Status Coup donating member. Chariton proudly states on the Status Coup website that he "has been covering stories that corporate media REFUSES to for over a decade." 

The scandals I mentioned are all incidents that have massive death and disability tolls that are perpetrated or greatly worsened by malice, neglect, and violence from the US government and big corporations. 

Think about it for a second. What's another massively deadly, mass disabling event that is made many times worse by malice, neglect, and violence from the US government and big corporations?

COVID!

The fact that Status Coup never ever covers our currently ongoing airborne Covid pandemic is a horrific void and continuing to ignore Covid is contrary to Status Coup's stated mission and values. 

At least 3,000 Americans per week die of Covid. That number is probably a large undercount due to mass Covid denial in the public and in the healthcare system. Well over 1,100,000 million Americans have died of Covid so far, people are getting infected with Covid multiple times per year, and mutliple Covid infections lead to long lasting Long Covid. Covid is a mass disabling event.

So the water in Flint is dangerous and the air and water in East Palestine is dangerous. But Jordan, Covid has made all the air in indoor public spaces and outdoor crowds worldwide dangerous as well. Covid is a level three biohazard that causes brain damage, heart damage, and immune system damage.

And now measles is re-surging. The measles pandemic we will have very soon is not only caused by antivaxxers not vaccinating their kids, but also by the population's weakened immune systems from frequent Covid infections.

All of the statements in this petition can be verified by looking at solid medical and scientific research that I keep collecting in my publicly available Google Drive here. Jordan, if you keep ignoring Covid (and soon, measles), I will withdraw my monthly donations to Status Coup and urge my thousands of followers online to do the same.

Here are our demands:

• Cover the currently ongoing Covid pandemic on Status Coup, including how the CDC and the US government in general are greatly increasing the harm and death and disability toll. At least one short video per month.
• Cover the measles pandemic that we will inevitably have in the coming months.
• Cover the massive coverup and mass population denial.
• Get your reporters on the scene to wear N95 respirators, bare minimum when they do work on location visiting people's homes and other indoor spaces, and when they work on location at protests (Covid does transmit outdoors, see the research I shared.)
