In der heutigen Welt des Sports ist kaum ein Spieler so von Loyalität geprägt wie Marco Reus. Ein Mann, der sich nach unzähligen Verletzungen jedes Mal wieder zurückgekämpft hat. Ein Mann, der die Farben Schwarz und Gelb nicht nur trägt, sondern verkörpert wie kein anderer. Doch trotz all seiner Bemühungen blieben die großen Titel aus. Dennoch blieb er dem BVB treu - 12 Jahre lang. Doch nun, am Ende der Saison 2023/24, verlässt er den Verein. Dieser Abschied zerreißt uns, den Fans, das Herz. Es schmerzt, es blutet. Doch wir Bluten ist schwarz-gelb. Marco ist DER Dortmunder. Er ist unser Marco, unser (Ex-) Kapitän, unser Held. Die Trophäen mögen ihm verwehrt geblieben sein, aber seine Loyalität kennt keine Grenzen. Er verdient es, wie keine andere Ikone der Stadt Dortmund, eine Statue vor dem schönsten Stadion der Welt, dem Signal Iduna Park, zu erhalten. So wie es für Aguero bei City und Henry bei Arsenal getan wurde.

Dies ist keine Bitte, kein Wunsch, sondern eine dringender Aufruf an alle Verantwortlichen der Stadt Dortmund und des BVBs.

In today's world of sports, hardly any player is characterized by loyalty as much as Marco Reus. A man who fought back time and again after countless injuries. A man who not only wears, but embodies the colors black and yellow like no other. Yet, despite all his efforts, the major titles remained elusive. Nevertheless, he remained faithful to BVB - for 12 years. But now, at the end of the 2023/24 season, he is leaving the club. This farewell tears our hearts, the fans, apart. It hurts, it bleeds. But our bleeding is black and yellow. Marco is THE Dortmunder. He is our Marco, our (former) captain, our hero. The trophies may have eluded him, but his loyalty knows no bounds. He deserves, like no other icon of the city of Dortmund, to have a statue erected in front of the most beautiful stadium in the world, the Signal Iduna Park. Just as it was done for Aguero at City and Henry at Arsenal.

This is not a request, not a wish, but an urgent appeal to all responsible individuals of the city of Dortmund and BVB.
