Statue for a dolphin called Freddy

A wild solitary bottlenose inhabited close inshore waters of the North sea  around the pier area of a Northumberland town, Amble in 1987.  People from all over the world came to see this beautiful idiosyncratic animal  over a nearly five year period. It boosted the local economy and put a small town on the world map. He left Amble in March 1992 and the town was poorer  for that in more senses than just the economy. Now the petitioners are requesting to the town that space be found to erect a statue . It will cost the town nothing as it will be funded privately and it  will attract visitors  to see it just as he did in life. All that is needed to make this project a reality is your support and the town's imagination.
