A statewide petition against the major airline carriers providing daily service to the island has been introduced by a group of local travel agencies, local Puerto Rican owned businesses, Chamber of Commerce and non profit organizations.   Additional support for this initiative is also being provided by the Puerto Rican Parade and Festival Organization of Chicago and the Puerto Rican Parade Organization East Chicago Indiana.
