Companies such as IKEA are restricted from directly shipping to Jersey, due to the states and customs not wanting ‘extortionate’ island business’ to lose any business they may gain.

Currently it is possible to ‘order’ from IKEA’, but the catch it that you have to use a shipping agent, whom usually charge 20% of the order total, which works out to be more expensive than it is worth.

This is a petition to the States of Jersey Governing bodies and the Customs and Immigration office to revise this and lift their restrictions, so that islanders may utilise IKEA freely, without having to use highly priced shipping agents
