After visiting multiple pet stores in my area, I often found inappropriately fed animals in filthy cages with either no water or unclean water. These conditions made me think "this can't be legal." Some research led me to find out that in the state of Florida there are no laws regulating provided sanitation and how much food, or water the animals receive in our pet stores statewide. Many other states like New York, California, etc., have already implemented these rules and regulations to ensure the well-being of their pet store animals. With hope of following in their footsteps, please sign this petition to help me in pushing for a bill to provide a healthy and happy stay for all of Floridas animal's duration at pet stores.
