My name is Dean Seagers and I need your help in reuniting me with my family. I am serving a LIFE sentence for a (Non-Violent Drug Offense) that included an amount of 2 Grams of cocaine that I was falsely accused of. The judge that tried my case was Judge Harrington. She gave me a LIFE SENTENCE because it was a MAXIMUM MANDATORY sentence required by the law (that law that ended June 2010). Below is a brief description of how this false accusation took place:

• I was falsely accused by the Charleston Police Department and charged with Distribution of Crack.
• There was also a CI (confidential informant) who advised by testimony on the stands as well as in a letter (notarized by a SC Notary) that he did not buy cocaine from me, he just saw me out there. He was coerced into changing his statement by the Charleston Police Department (CPD), because he had pending charges against him. In turn, doing that would falsely accuse me of being GUILTY.
• The officer tested the cocaine and lied by saying it was "crack" so I could be given the maximum when sentenced.

What's REALLY UNFAIR is the statement from the CI was not considered in the least to prove my INNOCENCE; but the Officer's false determination of the substance was used to prove me GUILTY!!

 Although there was no evidence that could have been used that would have proved me guilty of selling cocaine or crack, I was still given a "HARSH SENTENCE" that lead to me being served with a 3rd strike offence that would immediately take all my chances away of walking out that courtroom as an INNOCENT MAN. I was offered a Plea, but because I am not guilty of this charge I did not accept.

Due to my innocence, I am requesting a reevaluation of this case to prove there was Prosecutor Misconduct, Police Negligence, unfair rulings from the Judge and most of all MY INNOCENCE

If my request is granted, I could be given relief on this LIFE sentence and come home to my children, my family and continue to reach my GOALS of reopening our family restaurant. Our restaurant contributed to society in many beneficial ways. The most important was providing families with a place to sit and eat together.
