Stop Dave's Market from Ruining Our Neighborhood with their Unnecessary Access Demand!

Stop Dave's Market from Ruining Our Neighborhood with their Unnecessary Access Demand!
The Issue
Dave's Marketplace will be opening a new location in Warwick along with other businesses in the old Benny's at 2574 West Shore Rd. At this location Daves' is demanding in their lease with Carpionato Group that an old access point to our neighborhood be opened so that they can dump the traffic through our street in case they don’t get a traffic light approved by RI DOT. Our street is a dead end street and this access point has been closed for over 20 years. The reopening will be detrimental to our neighborhood, especially for our children. Over 80% of the residents on Spring Grove Ave. are against this access being opened. We've presented our case to the planning board along with city council and while most agree and sympathize with us it appears that this city is afraid to scare away a project. Sadly, as this access keeps passing, it is completely unnecessary as they have four other access points to a major arterial roadway in the proposed project, more than most stores in our area. We have one more public hearing at the Preliminary Stage so please support us and sign our petition to stop Dave's from bullying their way through our neighborhood and destroying it.
