Tera's Law

The Issue

On January 15, 2019, my daughter was dressing her toddler and fell ill. Her neighbor came into her house,  found her lying on the floor, (she told the detectives this ), took her car and left my daughter lying in her toddler's floor and left  my grandson who was 2 , alone with his dying mother.

The neighbor did not call for medical assistance which is not required for someone to do, even if you see a person dying, drowning, bleeding or any other medical emergency.

Basically, you can leave someone dying and not call for help.

My 36 year old died a few hours after her neighbor left her there dying and her toddler was in the house alone for 6 to 8 hours alone with his deceased mother.

I would like to see the law changed that you have to call 911 if you see someone in distress which in this case, could have saved my beautiful daughter and her son growing up without his mother.

It's too late for our family, but I would like to save another family for the horrible grief our family has had to endure.

Tera was beautiful inside and out and was a wonderful mother. To think that someone just left her there to die and left her child endangered is appalling to me when no charges were filed. Please help me start a law in North Carolina where this horrible nightmare occurred.

Thank you for your support.
