Save Lake Mead

Save Lake Mead

The American Southwest is facing severe drought and water shortage. Help save Lake Mead by removing all large commercial bodies of grass dependant on it. With water being a limited resource what is available should be designated only for public use and small spaces.
Casinos and large corporations should not be profiting from such a limited resource. Vegas' harsh environment should make extravagant golf courses an anomaly, yet they exist in huge quantity throughout the valley.
Hikes in the price of water disproportionately affect private residences and low income families while giving little incentive to large business to change. Unsustainable tourism such as this will only hurt the future of the Las Vegas economy.
Let's profit in ways that encourage growth and make Las Vegas famous for what it really is- a uniquely beautiful desert ecosystem found nowhere else in the world.
