One client at a time for professional Haircare services.

The Issue

One Client at a Time Beauty and Barbers Appointments

Granting permission for a licensed beauty professional to provide a beauty/barbering service privately with one client in the designated work area beginning May 1, 2020.  All necessary precautions and disinfection protocols approved by the Maryland State Board of Barber and Cosmetology will be fully enforced and followed.

This petition request will enable for beauty professionals to return to their craft that is desperately needed during this pandemic.  Providing a service that promotes self esteem is vital for our society to cope with all the mandates that have changed our daily lives and routines. The hair care industry is a very fragile industry with  most professional surviving at the poverty level. As you may already know this proves catastrophic to our families and the well being of our profession.

We are asking that you, Governor Larry Hogan , consider our request and allow for licensed beauty/barbers professionals to return to work on May 1, 2020 by allowing 1 client at a time to receive beauty services. We in the beauty industry would like to thank you and your staff in advance. Thank you.
