Mitchell Breaux a hardworking man in the state of LOUISIANA had no reason to doubt the fact the mother of "his child" when she became pregnant. He STEPPED UP LIKE A MAN SHOULD and when the relationship didn't work out-he began to pay child support for "his son" according to his income- (which happens to be 700 DOLLARS PER MONTH!) WHEN THE CHILD WAS APPROX 4 YEARS OLD mitchell married another woman and they now have a child and a home -THE MOTHER OF THE 4 YEAR OLD CALLS VIA TELEPHONE AND STATED (the 4 year old) Was NOT HIS CHILD--at this point an official DNA TEST WAS DONE PROVING THE CHILD WAS NOT HIS- ALTHOUGH MOURNING THE FACT HE LOST A SON he took this information to the child support case worker - they said in the STATE OF LOUISIANA YOU ONLY HAVE 2 YEARS FROM THE CHILD'S BIRTH TO DETERMINE PATERNITY-- an attempt to CHANGE THIS LAW to having 2 years ONCE YOU BECOME AWARE THE CHILD IS NOT YOURS was RECENTLY DENIED by the state of LOUISIANA - IF YOU DONT KNOW WHY WOULD YOU QUESTION PATERNITY?????  NOW HE IS FORCED to pay 700 dollars a month to a random woman for no reason- because it is law he is still paying- NOT TO MENTION THE HORROR OF "LOSING" this child- HE LOVES HIM LIKE A SON! Not to mention the fact the woman in question was collecting unreported monies from the REAL father! She chose to "pick" Mitchell as the "dad" because he had a great job and was responsible AND THE STATE OF LOUISIANA BELIEVES THIS IS OK! This family deserves their family income for THEIR family expenses. This is like punishing a man for being responsible. PLEASE HELP OVERTURN THIS STATEWIDE DECISION SO THIS FATHER can move on from this tragedy and afford a family home FOR HIS BIOLOGICAL SON-  Signing will not only help this man but possibly many other responsible fathers in the state of LOUISIANA
