This is a petition to legalize tinted windows in the state of Iowa.  What I am asking for is 35% restriction. I am also looking to get 1000 signatures. 

I have been talking with state senator Jeff Edler about legalizing window tint in Iowa to 35% on the front 2 windows. Window tint in Iowa can be very bennificial to many people, including privacy, reducing glare inside the car, protects you from harmful UV rays, and also stops thieves from looking into your car when left unattended. 

Law enforcement safety is a huge deal. And I back the blue 100%. But, if it was a safety factor, then why would other states allow it and why have the other states not banned window tint.  Iowa is one of 9 states that have 70% light (no window tint) in the United States. 41 of the other states allow some form of tint on the front two windows.  People traveling in Iowa who live in other states who have window tint do not affect the officer who is pulling them over. 35% still allows more than adequate light in and allows the officer to see what the driver is doing. 

It’s Time we update this law and allow 35% window tint on the front two windows. Please call your house representatives and state senators in your district and let them know that we would like 35% window tint.
