Air boats proliferate the Coast of Florida. They are loud, disturb the peace, and are made for fishing and gigging in swamps and shorelines of freshwater bodies.  They have become recreational boats and cause harm to other boaters and wildlife as they do not obey boating rules.  Since they can be on plane on dry land they do not obey the no wake rules or on plane rules for the shoreline.  This is where manatees, dolphins, bay fish and other creatures all call home.  They blindly go around corners with no regard to waders, kayakers, or other boaters.  They land their boats on sandbars and blast people with sand when they leave.  This petition is to ban airboats on Federal and State of Florida waters on the Gulf of Mexico north of Lee County and on the Atlantic Ocean, north of Miami-Dade County.  They are to be used Only inside the boundaries of Everglades National Park and on bodies of freshwater in the State of Florida.
