The Issue

Attorney Laura D. Hogue of the law firm, Hogue Hogue Fitzgerald & Griffin used egregious, disrespectful and inhumane language during closing statements in the Defense of Greg McMichael to vilify Ahmaud Arbery when she stated that Ahmaud Arbery came to Satilla Shores "in his khaki shorts, with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails."

This was a deliberate attempt to describe Mr. Arbery as someone who was in no way a productive member of this society.  These words were used to paint Ahmaud Arbery as someone who was not only undeserving of the basic rights and liberties we all hold near and dear to our hearts, but also someone undeserving of justice under the law.

While she has the duty to defend her client, the use of such vile language proves that she is unethical and unsuitable to practice law in any courtroom in the United States of America.
