There are increasing homeless people and youth on Australian streets.  The Government should restore unused public buildings to house these poor people. There are many unoccupied hospitals, schools and warehouses that could be easily and cheaply fitted out to provide beds, bathrooms, communal kitchens and laundries to help the homeless.  This way the homeless can have a fixed address to apply for the dole or pensions and wait for public housing to become available for them.
