Start federal law protecting children from alienation and psychological abuse

Start federal law protecting children from alienation and psychological abuse
The Issue
I am one of thousands of parental alienation victims. Despite being a loving parent supposedly holding joint custody, I have been denied access to my child. This heartbreaking reality is not just my story; it's the story of countless parents who face similar situations. The lack of adequate intervention from our courts has caused severe and often irreparable damage to our relationships with our children. The pain and loss endured by both parents and children in these situations are profound and deeply unfair.
Parental alienation and coercive psychological abuse are insidious forms of manipulation that can irrevocably affect the mental and emotional well-being of children. While we have laws in place to protect the elderly from such exploitation, children remain vulnerable without similar safeguards. It’s time our legislation recognizes the need for federal laws that protect children from these silently abusive dynamics.
We propose that all family court judges, guardians ad litem, custody advisors, and court-appointed officials participate in mandatory educational training. This training should focus on parental alienation, coercive control, and mental abuse to better equip these officials in recognizing and effectively dealing with these issues in family court proceedings.
Furthermore, we call for the enforcement of a three-strikes law, which would impose stricter penalties and legal consequences for those found guilty of engaging in parental alienation. Parental alienation must be declared illegal, with clear legal ramifications to deter individuals from such harmful actions.
Imposing these changes will not only help in preventing the psychological harm inflicted on children but also restore the fractured relationships that many families suffer from due to these manipulative practices. The mental health and well-being of our children should be our utmost priority, and enacting these measures is a step forward in safeguarding their futures.
Join us in urging our legislators to recognize and act upon this critical issue. Sign this petition to help bring about essential changes to our family court system and protect our children from parental alienation and coercive psychological abuse. Together, we can make a difference. State&Federal laws enforceable for family court. Protect children’s right to have both parents in their life💜
