Stop using disposable coffee cups in coffee shops - use biodegradable alternatives instead. People are lazy - they will buy coffee in whatever cup is given to them. But if we keep using them then they can end up in our oceans and harm the wildlife.

Not many people know, but these cups have a plastic lining on the inside, so they can’t be recycled, and take more than 30 years to break down. How how many people would actually bother to recycle their coffee cups anyway, considering most coffee shops don’t have a recycling bin? 

In Britain alone we throw away around 7,000,000 disposable cups per year - 7 times the hight of mount Everest stacked on top of each other. Help make this stop. A single piece of plastic can kill a turtle. And over 1,000 turtles are killed every year from plastic waste. Switch to biodegradable cups which break down in a few months, and save thousands of turtles’ lives.
