As a gold card member and a vegan, I was ecstatic over Starbucks' Avocado Spread. It meant that Starbucks actually had one thing I can eat (I would prefer to just not eat there than to order a dry plain bagel, wouldn't you?). But more than just something I could eat there, the addition of this spread to Starbucks menu was a gesture of inclusiveness toward vegan/lactose intolerant customers. By discontinuing this spread, Starbucks is retracting that gesture and showing blatant disregard for an entire mass of customers. If we band together as a community, we can take back the guac!!!
