Require Starbucks to make mandatory to SHAKE the Non-Dairy Milks before serving!!!
The Issue
We, a Vegan, a Vegetarian and a non-dairy milk lover, want to make mandatory in Starbucks training for all employees to have to ALWAYS SHAKE THE MILK in the Soy Milk, Almond Milk and Coconut Milk before pouring in any drink that is made.
Starbucks has a recurring problem. We love Starbucks. But Starbucks has not given us the love we usually get. Starbucks is our favorite. Starbucks has multiple non-dairy plant based milks we enjoy. But recently every time we go to Starbucks our much anticipated Soy or Almond milk drinks are NOT TASTY. Why? Because, Starbucks does not train their employees or tell their baristas to do one simple trick to ensure a delightful, enjoyable drink is given to our hot little hands....
The trick?? SHAKE THE NON-DAIRY MILK BEFORE MAKING OUR SAID DRINK.
Have you ever seen the icky, unappetizing Soy Milk sediment (curdling like) on the bottom of your iced or cold Starbucks drink? You may have thought you were served bad milk. Well, it's not bad milk. It's just that the barista did not simply give the cardboard box holding the Non-Dairy Milk a few shakes before pouring it into your cup. (these soy sediments or "soy babies" are not harmful, they are just calciums and proteins (sorry I'm no scientist) of the Soy milk building up from not being shaken.Its just gross and has a bad texture to it if you get a big swallow of it. Ugh.)
Or how about the Almond Milk? If the Barista does not give the cardboard box a few shakes before pouring it into a cop, the milk separates, Thicker almond cream lays on the bottom, and the water and oils of the almond milk gathering on top. Again, not satisfying or pleasant.
So, we come before all you green apron Starbucks lovers (and hater's, come on help a girl out), and Starbucks employees to take a stand, and we ask if you'd please sign our petition in hopes to start make shaking the Soy Milk, Almond Milk, and even the Coconut and Oat Milks while we're at it, before pouring it into our cups, (GREEN HEARTS!!)
One more thing...we have sadly had to throw away so many expensive drinks we bought with our hard earned money because of this offensive sediment. At times this issue has started our day at work off on the wrong foot, or a drive to the beach, or our sick days and/or our lazy days. We go out of our way to order our favorite drinks at our favorite local Starbucks. Only to throw it in the trash. Please, let's stop this. Let's Sign and Shake!
