On October 18th 2010 we saw the change in the way we view Indian TV shows. Something totally different with a unique concept arrived on our TV. Thanks to Star Plus and DJs A Creative Unit (the producers) viewers got to see a show which dealt with realistic social issues and which are quite common in India. Not only India but all over the world but people keep it hidden behind closed doors and dont speak of it. It was Maryada... Lekin Kab Tak?

A show about four women, Devyani, Uttara, Vidya and Priya and how they deal with the issues in their lives. The problems they face in dealing with them but also keeping their dignity and respect intact.

Maryada, given the tag of being bold aired at 11.30 pm which was later shifted to 11 pm. Bold meaning it covered issues no other show had dealt with and still hasn’t but still happened in real life and which people turned a blind eye and deaf ears to. Even though it was aired late night the TRPs of the show were far better than most shows get at prime time across all channels.

Maryada consisted of an outstanding ensemble of cast, directors, creative writers and producers. The actors won the hearts of its viewers with their remarkable acting. They all shared amazing chemistry which to us the viewers it looked like they were a real family, we connected with them. The whole cast were perfect together. The dialogues were also all so realistic.

But one couple really won our hearts and we fell in love with them. RaQesh Vashisth and Ridhi Dogra Vashisth. Their hot chemistry sizzled onscreen. And to this day both are remembered and missed for their characters Aditya and Priya, fondly called AdiYa. Whom we all would love to see back on our screens.

Even though the show has been off air for over a year, Maryada is still remembered and it has an ever growing fan following who miss the show badly and would be very grateful for season 2 of Maryada. Hope fully with the same cast, especially RaQesh Ridhi opposite each other again. We know it would work that’s why we request for a second season and we know it will work. It can pull in an audience. Maryada can again raise the social common issues in India and deal with them sensitively.

Please we request for a season 2 of Maryada and also for the repeats of Maryada to be aired again on TV and the full episodes to be uploaded on You Tube too.

We would love to see our favourite jodi RaQesh Ridhi as Aditya Priya back on our TV again creating the same magic which they did before in Maryada... Lekin Kab Tak?
