This is a petition for the remake of the movie "Dear Heart" to be top billed by Janella Salvador (as April Mondragon) and Elmo Magalona (as Jimmy Lizares).

        "Dear Heart" was released in 1981 with the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion as the lead actors under Sining Silangan Inc.  We believe that Janella Salvador is the on-the-spot choice for the new April Mondragon, the sweet, "papa's girl" and smart co-ed. While many names have been dropped to play the role for a remake, but nobody fits to the glove that the Megastar has ever imprinted on the character. Salvador has that pristine and wholesome image as a singer-actress fit to play the most coveted role. In fact, she personifies a millennial April Mondragon. Like Cuneta, she started as a singer and has recorded her own version of the movie theme song with the same title.

        For Jimmy Lizares' character, Elmo Magalona is a perfect fit. The role of a young lad who longs for his father who was unknown to him for seventeen years is  simply exclusively reserved for Magalona. He personifies that gentle and at the same time that eyes that transcends a lot of emotions. He is a very sensitive young actor who has done impressive acting on every role he played.

       The two, Salvador and Magalona had worked and are currently working together as each others' love interest in TV shows such as Wansapanataym of ABS-CBN in the "Christmas Witch" episode, guest stars as a young couple in the highest rated prime time show "Ang Probinsiyano", and their very own teleserye "Born For You" which is currently. They are known for their great chemistry on and off screen when it comes to romantic and sweet scenes. Their own teleserye has been gaining good reviews, and high ratings in their timeslot here and abroad. It's barely even a month, but their show has gained 1 million views in I Want TV and gained raved reviews in the The Filipino Channel website  all over the world and it has been trending in Twitter every night.

     If our petition will be heard and granted, this is the first movie for the loveteam Elnella.They are a fresh tandem and have a lot of new things to offer to the audience. They both act, dance, sing and have charismatic and lovable personalities. Their loveteam has charmed the young and the young at heart filipinos all over the world.

     We, the undersigned, do hereby petition for Elnella (Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona) to star in the remake of the 1981's movie "Dear Heart".
