Standing for Fathers: Statements of Character
The Issue
Being a father of five, I know that separation and family conflict affect far more than legal proceedings. They affect relationships, reputations, families and most importantly: the bond between parents and their children.
During one of the most difficult chapters of my life, I have experienced how quickly a person’s character can become defined by conflict rather than by the years of life that came before it.
If you know my character, say so.
I am asking family, friends, coworkers, clients, neighbors and members of my community who have personally known me to stand behind their own experiences with me. Your signature does not mean that you witnessed an event or are picking sides.
It means exactly what it says:
I know this man. I know his character. And my experience with him matters.
This petition begins with my story, but the principle is larger than one father. Fathers navigating separation and custody disputes should have the opportunity to be known by their actions, relationships and demonstrated character.
Strong fathers matter. Healthy relationships between children and loving parents matter. Fairness matters.
If you personally know me and are comfortable standing behind your experience of my character, I invite you to sign Standing for Fathers: Statements of Character & Community Support.
Stand for fathers. Stand for families. Stand for truth established fairly.
