The Issue

To the HOA Board and Park Management:

Ziva is a very scared dog who has been frequenting this 55+ community since June. The HOA is now calling her a threat and saying she needs to be gone—a position that has sparked an uproar among residents who want her treated with compassion.

The residents’ voices deserve to be heard. They are asking for a humane solution for Ziva.

We understand the importance of keeping the community safe. We ask management to work with rescuers on a plan that protects residents while bringing Ziva safely into care.

A frightened dog needs a patient, coordinated rescue approach. Attempts to chase, corner, or drive her away could put her in danger and make a safe capture more difficult.

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask the HOA and park management to:

- Cooperate with rescuers and allow coordinated access to safely capture Ziva.

- Allow a designated feeding location, monitoring cameras, and humane traps in agreed areas with safeguards for residents and pets.

- Give rescuers a reasonable opportunity to carry out that plan, with regular updates.

- Ask residents to report sightings and avoid approaching, chasing, or cornering her.

- Share the specific incidents behind the claim that Ziva poses a threat so those concerns can be addressed.

- Hear residents’ concerns and communicate openly about decisions affecting Ziva.

Residents care about what happens to this dog. Their concern deserves meaningful consideration, and Ziva deserves a chance to reach safety.

Please work with the people trying to help her. Let this community be part of Ziva’s rescue story.

By signing, I support a safe, humane rescue for Ziva and ask the HOA and park management to cooperate with rescuers and listen to the residents advocating for her.
