Dear BLM Colorado,

I am hoping that you were keeping my prior recommendations/requests in mind and are considering implementing them. I read that the Sand Wash Basin advocate team recently worked in conjunction with the BLM to photograph and video the Sand Wash Basin horses at the Canyon City holding site for at least 150 horses and it went well. I am sad that they will no longer be on the range. I know their chance of getting adopted is slim in light of raising hay costs, training needs etc. The horse auctions in Oklahoma and Texas are filling with former BLM mustangs. I see posts every day especially from the AIP program.

In light of these observations, I am asking that you make the prior modifications that I requested so that you take your position and continue to use it to promote positive education about the wild horses and the value that they add not just to our land but our larger community representing the freedom of our nation similar to the bald eagle

I would like to see a wild horse education observation center, wild horse kiosk and proper instruction to avoid ATV used around the wild horses especially around the foaling season.

My best regards to you and your family,

Ann Ryan, MD
