The BLM has plans to change 15,000 acres of the Sand Wash basin from a wild horse management area to a campground with ATV use which I didn’t think that could be done but is being done. 600 horses were taken off this land where Picasso lived in September 2021 despite the protest of the people of Colorado. Join me and requesting that this proposition be changed into a wild horse observation area and campground with a wild horse education center, kiosk and proper instruction to avoid ATV use around the wild horses. The center should be closed to all off-road vehicles during foaling season when the horses have their babies. I would prefer this land stay open for the wild horses but here we are. Comments are due by June 3.
