My name is Jakai Martin and I am advocating on behalf of the LGBTQIA+ students at Illinois State University who are currently under attack. I was recently assaulted on October 15th, 2022, but a few weeks prior on September 28th, a fraternity vandalized two public signs with a homophobic slur in red paint. That said, queer hate culture has become prominent at Illinois State University— but we can change that. This online petition will stand as a way for people to pledge their support to ally with LGBTQIA+ students on campus.
