In light of the phase out date being offered by the Prime Minister, we know our campaign is working, but in my opinion it’s not soon enough and it should include all Living Creatures.
So we still have to let our governments know, that while we appreciate the move, far more must be done.
So Stand Against Live Animal Exports Protest/Awareness Days will continue to raise awareness of the Live Animal Export industry.
Thursday 22nd June: State Parliament Protests 1200 - 1300:
I am holding a protest at Sydney Parliament House. Just after midday Emma Hurst is hoping to pop out to speak to us and chat about Live Animal Export. 1200 - 1300
Maddison will be holding a Stand Against Live Animal Exports protest at Perth Parliament House too. We are hoping an MP will come out and speak to the supporters. 1200 - 1300
Saturday 22nd June: Protest/Awareness Days
Sydney Town Hall: Stand Against Live Animal Exports Awareness Day. Please just come and hold a banner, that’s all you have to do. 11:30 - 1:30. Banners provided.
Perth Murray St Mall: (near Telstra) Maddie is doing the Perth Stand Against Live Animal Exports Awareness Day. 11:30 - 1:30. Again, please come and hold a banner - banners provided.
There will be a protest march around Murray St Mall - just waiting on permit approval.
NOVEMBER 21st: Canberra Parliament House Bus Trip. I have the permit, I’m just trying to work out how many people are going. I have 10 names, therefore I’m looking for more people who want to go. I am paying for the bus or coach so the bus trip will be free, you will just need money for food or shopping. Yes we are going to the Outlets after the protest.
It will be different this time, we may have 1 MP coming out to meet us and he may speak but it will be banner holding and protesting - like a picket line.
BUT I am needing numbers NOW so I can work out how much money I need to save for the bus. The bigger the bus, the more expensive, but also the more people the bigger the attention.
