The 7th of May from 11:30am - 2pm is the Pre Election Awareness Day outside Sydney Town Hall. If it is raining, we will be on the East side of the Queen Victoria building, outside Haigh’s chocolates. Please Sydney/NSW people come along if you can.
In addition to the Sydney Awareness Day we have a Stand Against Live Animal Exports (SALE) rally in Forrest Place, Perth.
Anna-Lisa Kelly who has become a massive supporter of SALE is hosting a peaceful demonstration at Forest Place, from 11am - 2pm.
It would be great to see as many people as possible turn up to help us raise awareness for these animals. For anyone unaware, Stand Against Live Animal Exports would much prefer to work in harmony with the police and council, so if you’re considering coming along and creating a problem, please don’t. Being disruptive only creates a diversion from the true message - and that that is Ending Live Animal Exports.
These Awareness Days are about LIVE ANIMAL EXPORTS only!!
It’s a chance to expose the savage Live Export industry, these days are NOT about us and they are NOT about being vegan, so let’s not confuse the matter.
We have a red hot chance of making a difference; if we end Live Animal Export, then we can focus on other animal welfare issues, but for ME, this is ALL about Live Animal Export and ending that torture!
PS: if anyone wants to make their own placard or banner for the Perth rally, please do. Anna-Lisa will have some large banners and some A3 laminated pictures for the day but if you want to do a sign with Stop Live Animal Exports or End Live Animal Export that would be terrific.
Melbourne: I’m looking at Saturday the 2nd of July. It will be at Federation Square again but I’ve applied for the main area or opposite flinders st station, I’m also applying for 2 handbill permits, they will be either side of Flinders St Station entrance. The handbill people will be provided with a free Stand Against Live Animal Exports T Shirt, an Orange shoulder bag with Stop Live Exports on them to hold the flyers. But Melbourne is still in the planning stage, councils etc they don’t make it easy…
As soon as I have a definite on Melbourne I’ll update.
Please keep emailing Anthony Albanese and asking him what are his plans for Live Animal Export…
