As most of you would be aware the Live Animal Export Ship (MV Gulf) capsized off the coast of Japan on the 2nd of September, 19 days these animals spent cooped up on this floating death trap before sailing into a typhoon where they all lost their lives. This is not the first time a ship carrying Live Animals has sunk killing all animals onboard, it’s time all governments, not just Australia ended this brutal scheme. I’ve read many of The Livestock Collectives rants and all they care about is the money oh and then the crew. They care about their animals so they say but they see each animal as $$$$$ not as a feeling, living creature.
The crew had warnings, they know how to open a hatch, don a life jacket, get into a raft and swim...the animals would have been trapped. I just hope they died quickly, such a heartbreaking thought but in many ways their fate was possibly far worse if they made it ashore...
Australian sheep shipping starts again on the 22nd September, please I’m begging EVERYONE to put an ORANGE RIBBON on your letterbox, tow ball, car antenna, gate or anywhere that it will get people talking. I saw a similar thing recently with Yellow ribbons and it does get people wondering. If anyone asks why the ORANGE RIBBON it’s give us the opportunity to talk about Live Export.
The next Protest in Sydney (Australia) is Saturday 31st of October, 10:30-10:45 at Martin Place we march off at 11am to Town Hall, we are only allowed 20 people so if you want to march please let me know ASAP. We cannot hand out stickers etc but we can stand there with our banners and talk on the PA and megaphones.
I have plenty of T shirts, Bags, Pens and stickers if anyone wants to purchase anything please email me at sunlily36@gmail.com. I’m looking at having car flags made with Stand Against Live Export on them, but more on that next time....please NEVER give up on these animals, they need us!
