For many years there have been numerous accidents on a notorious junction on the A5192 Eastern Avenue with Grange Lane in Lichfield. On June 16 at 7.30 a young man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a car. Despite the efforts of bystanders and medics who performed CPR, the man in his 20’s passed away. 
The time has come for the Council to stop penny pinching and make immediate changes to improve the road layout, preferably an island which will slow the traffic down as opposed to stopping it completely causing congestion. 
Lichfield has an enormous number of new homes built over the last few years and continues to do so and yet the roads are not receiving a balanced improvement. I urge you to support this petition and share it with as many Lichfield friends as you can. One life lost is too many!
