Re-instate 24 Hour A&E at Stafford Hospital and Reverse the Last Decade's Cuts

Re-instate 24 Hour A&E at Stafford Hospital and Reverse the Last Decade's Cuts
The Issue
In response to yet another consultation concerning Health Care in Staffordshire, we call for re-instatement of a full 24 hour A&E department at Stafford Hospital.
We also want to see re-instatement of all the services axed from the hospital over the last decade and protection of Health Services across Staffordshire from further cuts.
===
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent residents have been invited to have their say on the future of local health and care. The NHS and local councils have launched a public conversation on health and social care services. We suspect this consultation is just the next step in further dismantling and privatising our local health services.
One of the areas the consultation is exploring is "Simplifying the local urgent and emergency care system"
We suspect this will mean closure of Accident & Emergency department at either Stafford or Burton Hospital. It is our firm view that neither Accident & Emergency department should close.
We also anticipate more in-patient services being moved out into the community, principally in order to reduce costs.
Over the last 10 years, Stafford Hospital has seen a reduction of 150 beds (40%), which is at odds to Stafford's growing / ageing population. Just how many beds will we have left in 2028?
