The rules about being late for homeroom need to change back because today, Monday 27th August 2018 my friend and I arrived at school at 8:54am because our bus was late. There were already at least 50 people waiting in the line to sign in. Behind us, the line went out of the foyer and spilled into the corridor along the side of the canteen, and the line continued to grow. The point of homeroom is to allow students to have an extra 10 minutes to get to school. These are just a few reason why the needs to be changed.

• The bus is late. I have heard many teachers say things like "get on an earlier bus." But they don't ever seem to think that maybe we have problems or jobs to do at home. Maybe we live too far and have to be driven to a bus stop.
• It also prevent 300 students trying to get a late slip at once
• If every student in the school were to be late for homeroom by one minute everyday, then thats around 1200 peices of paper wasted which have been paid for and are being then thrown into the environtment. Also to take into account the ink used and the amount of phone calls/emails having to be made.
• Extra staff are needed to get through this amount of people. If the rule was changed back, the extra staff would not be needed and so could be doing other jobs or not there at all. 
• Because of the amount of people in the line it takes a very long time. It is delaying everyone making us even more late then before.
