The recent tragedy of 13 year old Tristyn Bailey has shed a much needed light on the safety of especially young girls and women. We need to learn how to better protect ourselves and be aware. Women shouldn’t have to fear for their lives every time that they go out, but that’s the reality. We cannot change that fact, but we can better prepare generations for possibly violent or bad situations. St. John’s county should provide assemblies for the education of these situations.
