The application does not meet the criteria for amending PUD 86 under the City Comprehensive Plan. The Petitoners request that this be denied and reapplied as a NEW PUD under its current standards.

Traffic plans have been misleading due to improper interpretations or future use. Outside interests are posturing against The City and attempting to make this a "Religious" matter rather than proper procedural zoning matter. The neighbors and citizens need to have their feelings, opinions and impact on their lives heard, received and acknowledged in a peaceful and reasonable manner. This began as a South St Cloud, MN issue that has become Citywide, Statewide and Countywide now gaining national attention.We need to stand up for our neighborhoods.

This is to be a landmark decision for not only the City of St Cloud, but the entire State of Minnesota as to the very inner strengths of a long established neighborhhood is overwhelmed by Traffic, Parking, non factored growth as well as the veiled threat of lawsuits in violation of the RLUIPA act. Even though baseless and  with no standing it will cost the City Hundreds of Thousands to simply defend itself.The applicants core members are well versed in these types of actions resulting in MILLIONS in settlements with Golden Plump Packing, Electrolux and Wal Mart and others.

The applicant, The Islamic Center of St Cloud has sent a letter to City Council stating that it wants ITS plan considered, Not the plan forwarded by The Planning Commission after extensive hearings, studies and an abuse of published guidelines for submission of plans.
