Fiona Church is a social worker who has practiced for over 20 years in the Renfrewshire area. she has been ridiculed and degraded by numerous lies that have been written about her in numerous papers over he past few days.
Fiona has been accused of 'shocking catalogue of neglect' and claims she 'failed 25 vulnerable children'.
Fiona is undertaking a disciplinary in which may lead to her being stripped of her profession.
Fiona was previously let go from her previous position due to the same issues - however, after an independent investigation, her employers were found to have made a mistake in dismissing her. She fought with dignity and integrity and won her case. It was proven that they failed and had recommendations to senior management.
This was not mentioned in the papers which has totally and utterly degraded and demonized her name and practice. Since the publishing of 'her story', Fiona has expressed severe embarrassment, ridicule, and has other people opinions on her mind. these publications have encouraged strangers to write disgusting and bullying comments about Fiona, who don't know her side of the story.
I have known this beautiful person all my life she would never intentionally go out her way to neglect or put any child at risk of harm or abuse. she has always shown empathy for children and always puts their safety and wellbeing first. she has supported and protected numerous children throughout her careers as both a residential worker and social worker, and has became a very significant role model within their lives. Fiona has helped them build resilience from their past experiences and has helped them develop the skills to create their own futures.
unfortunately, there has been many times the system fails social workers, they are so easily made to take the blame for being overworked with no support and no supervision. Fiona only worked 2 days a week due to family bereavements and work caused stress. At part-time hours Fiona was given an unacceptable amount of cases.
Fiona deserves to walk away from this with her head held high, knowing about the many children's lives she brightened just by being there. The only way she can do this is if she is not stripped of a qualification she worked so hard to gain.
Help Fiona by signing and sharing her side of the story. Please be welcomed to leave kind and supportive comments to remind Fiona of the good she has done.
