My SSA disability case began June 2021. It has now passed four years because of delay tactics the SSA is allowed to use. 

After my initial denial, it was sent for a "motion to reconsider" to the same place. As if they'd over turn their own decision. This motion to reconsider is a step that needs eliminated. The first two denials take over two years to complete. That's totally unacceptable!

The SSA did not send notice of the denial of the motion to reconsider to myself or my atty causing a 6-8 month delay in filing for a hearing in front of an ALJ (administrative law judge)

My first hearing via video in front of ALJ Joyce Francis took place in early 2024. In her denial she left out almost all of the medical evidence. I immediately filed an appeal to the appeals council as well as filing multiple complaints against this ALJ. SSA never addressed those complaints. 

The review council overturned her decision and sent the case back to her despite my complaints against her she was allowed to hear my case again after already showing clear bias.

This same ALJ no showed a video hearing in March 2025 in which myself and my atty were logged in and ready. so I was further put off to May 2025. Of course at the new hearing she took two months and denied my claim again. So now it sits again with the review council. 

My case has drug out four years. The judge over ruled 5 medical professionals including 2 MD's and over 200 pages of medical records into evidence. At both hearings, the vocational expert testified on the record that there were "zero" jobs for someone with my limitations.

Major changes are needed at SSA. Including time limits on how long they can draw out a case. Each step should be done in a timely manner to minimize the damage on the claimant. Judges should not be allowed to rehear cases they've already shown bias against and had complaints against them.  Illegals are currently drawing benefits that they did not pay into. I paid 24 years of taxes when I worked yet I have been completely screwed.
