Star Sports India has decided to broadcast football and other major sporting events  Such as Barclays Premier league, Indian Super League, Bundesliga  Only through newly launched premium channels Star Sports Select HD1 and HD2  Exclusively.  This means no matter which star sports(1,2,3,4) or star sports HD(1,2,3,4) you have from now on to watch football you need to subscribe star sports select HD which is a premium channel. Premium channels have an extra subscription fee. Which means you have to pay for HD subscription and premium amount fixed for the channel. Star group other premium channels cost 60 per month therefore these channels could also be boosting the same price. It has only been weeks after forcing us to buy a Set top boxes to watch Television and now we need to upgrade to hd set top boxes, then subscribe for Hd and then this premium channel. This is going to cost the Indian population much greater pay than what we can save for ourselves. Its feeling like torture after torture which never ends. The only way is to stop watching football as a great game and forget the sport. This is happening at the same time when football is struggling to gain popularity in the country. Remember how far is our ranking in the sports. Only if kids could watch sports they could improve theirs. How are young footballers going to watch football and learn if this is going to be the support they get.This is the new face of fascist rulers. Only a small percent of people in India has a HD television. Rest of the people use either a SD tv or no Tv at all. This means to view football in India from next month you need to be rich. Now how is that possible unless we start to take action and stop this menace. This initiative by Star Sports is against the freedom and equality of our people in India. From all this we should understand that this agenda must be by a pact between Star group and TV manufacturers for their own gain. Who else could gain from such a drastic step. Most football fans in India are youth and they are the ones who stay in a hostel or places away from their home for jobs and studies. These guys can't even manage their pocket moneys to be large enough to last a weekend. The only moment we enjoy is when we watch football with our friends even on an old tv we somehow managed to borrow. So what happens to us guys when this moment is being snatched from us because we can't afford a new television. So "All Sports fans India" I urge you to take up action action against this fascist ruling of these broadcasters
