To Provide Cycle Racks in Public Transport System (Busses)

The Public transport system in Western & European cities are equipped with Cycle Racks, fitted in its front which can carry 3 or more Cycles at a time. (Please refer to picture).
I am wondering why can't we too have similar arrangements in our local busses which would certainly encourage people to take along and use their Cycles on transit. Combining cycling and taking the bus is a great way to get around.
I also would like to quote a report from North American environmentalists on benifits of combo use of Bicycling with public transport. It reads:
"Coordinating bicycling with public transport is mutually beneficial, enhancing the benefits of both modes and encouraging more bicycling as well as more public transport use. Bicycling supports public transport by extending the catchment area of transit stops far beyond walking range and at much lower cost than neighborhood feeder buses and park-and-ride facilities for cars. Access to public transport helps cyclists make longer trips than possible by bike."
Transit services also can provide convenient alternatives when cyclists encounter bad weather, difficult topography, gaps in the bikeway network, and mechanical failures.
I appeal to all my countrymen to sign my petition to Sri Nitin Gadkari, honourable Minister for Roads, transport & highways and Mr. Ramalinga Reddy, Minister of transport, Govt of Karnataka to give a proactive thought implementing this arrangement in our public transport system too.
