I live off the roundabout that crosses Southport Road and Northfield Road in Bootle. Today, there was an incident where a lorry over-turned on this roundabout. My daughter was on her way out as this happened and was standing where this lorry ended up, seconds before. Luckily, she managed to get herself back to safety before it over-turned on top of her. I can not even begin to imagine what might have happened without her quick thinking to run back to our road. I would like something put in place to make sure this roundabout is made safe as there is constantly cars racing up and down and people cutting each other up, causing accidents. This needs to be rectified to make sure the area is made safe. I am a loving parent and dread to think how different this message could have been if my daughter had not moved in time, all for the sake of a few seconds. She may have not still been here now. Please consider signing to help our cause as this is becoming a huge issue. This area is not safe at all and I feel something needs to be done as soon as possible to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Whether it’s cameras or something else to make these drivers think more consciously about the way they drive around this roundabout. Thank you
